Latest Hairstyle Fashion 2011
Here we are going to share some latest, Stylish party hairstyle, Rock Chic, Chunky Waves, Curl power, Layery and for the year of 2011 to rock in parties. Some of these hair fashion follows the funky style due to modern chic culture. These hair styles are far from Natural hair styles.
Overgrown Pixie
A pixie style looks cute, but it can be quite monotonous when it comes to styling. So let your crop grow out a bit, then get some choppy uneven layers cut all around the head, keeping face framing pieces longer than rest of the length. It looks flirty, and easier to wear with any attire. It also gives more movement to your hair, and is easier to maintain. To style massage a lightweight mousse into your roots, then fluff your hair with a flat brush or your fingers as you dry it. This gives your hair body without creating the bubble effect. When hair is dry, apply some texturizing product and twist into piecey sections for some fun, flirty effect.
Curl Power
Most curly haired girls frustrate over their hair and resort to tying up a tight ponytail. Let loose your curls, girls’ The trick is to get your curls cut in long layers. Never go above your shoulders when getting your curls cut, as they need length to weigh them down arid give shape. To tame coarse, tight ringlets or unruly spirals, 5et dry hair with hot rollers or use a wide barrel curling iron to loosen the diameter of the natural curl and make it softer. You can also apply some curling cream to the strands and use a curling iron to create new looser curls. Use a setting spray to hold the style. Switch to wide toothed comb to comb your curls. It is best to comb it when hair is partially wet, and then avoid touching your curls as they air dry. Avoid a blow dryer, or use a diffuser if you must use a blow dryer.

Profession nel music has inspired the key cuts, and colour for Autumn/Winter 09. The hair colour, and styling brand has designed a complete collection of hair looks based on Rock and Folk music. Themed Rock’N’Folk, the collection works around music of two genre — the bold, loud vibrations of rock music, and the feet tapping, shimmering beats of folk songs.
L’Oreal Professionnel Ambassador, Laurent Decreton says, “The collection reaches back to move forward, showing off the history of hair in and through music, then updating and reinterpreting the looks for today’s fashions and habits. Music being a major mover in today’s society and a dictator of both fashion and beauty trends, the Indian Interpretation of “Rock n Folk” created by the Indian hair artists reflected what haircare products can do, with each creation representing a different trait in colouring and styling.”
These two forms of music have given rise to two distinct styles of hair. The rock hair meant big updos, bright shimmering hues, contrasting shades, and warm tones — the styles a challenge to come out of your safe net of basic hair colours and try something extraordinary. In case of folk inspired styles the look is much softer and subdued with an understated sophistication — definitely easier to sport as the palette runs from cool colours, and intense brown played up with depth.
According to Decreton, “Edgy, sleek and modern hair with exaggerated cuts and layering techniques form the rock collection. The rock universe of Majirel brings out intense, accentuated colours like warm, golden touches and Iridescent, shinning hues. The folk universe spells soft, subdued and sophisticated looks and plays with a combination of cooler colours, intense browns and deep reflects.”
In fact to give an Indian interpretation to the global looks, L’Oreal Professional invited five leading stylists also L’Oreal Profession nel Artistic Ambassadors — to create the looks. They created the looks and reinterpreted them for the Indian sensibilities, keeping in mind our hair colouring and textures. The looks are both homage to the amazing creativity and vision of rock and folk, and a modern interpretation of what looks current.

When it comes to the year's fashion trends a lot of 2011 will focus on embellished, quality details - it won't be exactly the same for 2011 hairstyles, however. Quality, yes. Embellishment, not always. 2011 won't be a year in which hair trends are based around adornments and accessories - yes, there'll be headbands, but there'll be a larger push towards styles that are au naturel. And amongst those styles will be the double hair knot.

Taking the lead from last year's hairstyles, the double hair knot continues the infatuation with styles that seem effortless - think the plaited and braided hairstyles that have been so popular for more then 12 months, simplify, and you have the double hair knot.
Like the Topsy tail hairstyle of years gone by, the double hair knot sits roughly at the nape of the neck or a little higher. The style also works as a single knot - but by knotting the hair twice the effect is more interesting, and easier to secure.
How to Style it:-
Though a hairstyle suited to the entire year, the style of double hair knot you're seeing in the pictures are best suited to spring / summer 2011. Styled by Orlando Pita for the Michael Kors catwalk, the summer influence comes courtesy of a desire to have fuse urban hairstyle with the feel that its wearer has "been out at the beach all day."
To capture the summer interpretation of the double hair knot:
- First, spritz the hair all over with a sea-salt spray (Orlando Pita used Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray)
- Next, scrunch the hair into bunches while drying to add waves and texture
- Pull a thick section of hair out at the front, sweeping it into a deep side part
- Finally, take back two sections of hair and tie into a knot - then again into a double knot
For a take on the style that is suited to autumn / fall or winter, play down the beachy-ness by making the hair smoother and a little less textured. Try replacing the sea-spray with a volumizer and keeping the hair in place with a little hairspray.

How to create a bird's nest topknot
At the recent 2010 Australian Film Industry Awards, we spoke to Caterina DiBiase - part of theghd styling team, and director of Heading Out Hair, about achieving the bird's nest bun. Caterina fondly refers to the style as the powderpuff: any oversized topknot where the hair winds around loosely to create a sophisticated yet still effortless-looking style. Caterina created the look on actress Laura Wheelright for the AFI Ceremony.
- First, apply liberal amounts of ghd maximise mousse to the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.
- Blast with a hairdryer to dry the mousse into the hair.
- Pull the hair up into a very high ponytail on the top of the head.
- Divide the ponytail into several sections then tease each section with a comb, creating lots of volume and texture (it should look a little crazy right now so don't be alarmed... it will soon be tamed!)
- Brush the ponytail out just a little bit to even out the texture, then wrap the hair around the ponytail to create a messy topknot.
- Secure with bobby pins all the way around.
- Finally, spray the hair with ghd ultimate hair spray.
For the Chanel pre-Fall 2011 version of the style, simply add a headband - and, if desired, tug out a few loose pieces of hair to create a more wispy finish.
2011 Hair Trends For Women
Back when it appeared on the Lanvin spring 2010 runway, we termed it a birds-nest topknot that's Hitchcock heroine meets modern-day bedhair; and, as 2011's hair trends continue to evolve it's the type of topknot that's come out on top (pardon the pun). Why? It can still be a little wispy, a little messy; but it's elegant. Thus, it's a runway hair trend that we've already seen translated to the red carpet.

4 Spring 2011 Hairstyles We're Loving!
If the abundance of 2011 fashion trends already has you buzzing, then brace yourself for our round-up of 2011 hair trends, because it's about to get epic. We're not suggesting taking your tresses to any too-styled level, but nothing shakes things up like a new 'do, and you'll be hard pressed not to fall for the wearable élan of this season's offerings. We give a nod to short with the pixie's bad-ass cousin; say goodbye to the topknot as buns go low; and try something serious with a more severe side part. Plus, from an off-to-the-side swoop to thick, Jane Birkin-esque '70s fringe, bangs are definitely back. So, whether you're down to take some style risks or just want to effortlessly change things up, we've got your new look covered.
The Low Bun—Last year may have been the year of the top knot, but that's all about to change as buns make a shift to the nape. Pair the style with some sexy-glamorous sunnies for a relaxed-yet-elegant, warm-weather vibe.
Tip: Guido Palau, who created the look for Nina Ricci's spring show, recommends starting with a center part. Next, pull hair into a low ponytail, making sure to cover the ears. Then twist the ponytail into a loose knot. Remember, a too-tight style will look overly austere, so keep it loose for a touch of bohemian flair.
The New Side Part—We've been digging the extreme side part for a while, but now we're really crushing on them because of the versatility. The look works on both long and short hair and can go sleek and minimal or curly and wild.
The Tip: Sam Brocato, owner of Sam Brocato Salon, gives us the key to finding your perfect part: "Place a comb flat against the side of your head. The spot where your head leaves the comb is where the part should be placed. Pull hair into a sleek, low ponytail or secure curls with a few bobby-pins."
The Jane Birkin Bang—Though there's a decidedly '70s feel to this look, blunt bangs are very of-the-moment, as proven by Mulberry, Twinkle, and a slew of spring designer look-books
The Tip: "With this look, the fringe becomes your main accessory," says Kattia Solano of Butterfly Studio Salon. "Bangs should be heavy, slightly longer on the sides, and kept below the eyebrows. Layers are long and flowing, with a slight angle below the chin. Blow dry your bangs with a brush, then spray hairspray on a comb and comb through to make them look solid and thick."
The Swoop—We've mentioned this quick-change style before, and we predict it's going to big for 2011. Go au naturel, like at Rodarte's spring show, or super sleek à la Louis Vuitton.
