New Winter Collection

Here is the collection of new winter dresses.

It's a chilly four degrees outside in Milan but, for what seems like the first time in a while, the fog has cleared giving us a beautiful view of the city's architecture. And it's precisely that we're about to see plenty of as we dash across to another catwalk showing. In the meantime, however, we've got the photos from the Dolce & Gabbana men's Milan fashion week showing online. You'll find all the pictures of their autumn / fall 2011 collection after the jump, and our review will be online shortly.

Like much of the menswear hitting the runway at this week's Milan fashion week, D&G's offering kept to the relaxed side. Infused with a fun sense of retro-kitsch (like knits emblazoned with classic 'Drink Coca-Cola' slogans, or Mickey Mouse cartoons), colour and print played a starring role.
The new men's semi-slouchy pant cut that's taking autumn / fall 2011 by storm made more appearences at D&G, this time in both suit pants and casual corduoroys; a relaxed contrast to the slick 50s style cardigans, ties and blazers.

4 Perfect Winter-Proof Outfits

Halt! Before you reach for that same oversized sweater, jeans, and parka combo, we beg you to reconsider. Combat the winter blahs with some inspiration in the form of stylish perfect outfits coming from gals who know that dressing warmly is not synonymous with boring. In fact, dressing for insulation means more opportunities to let your creativity really shine—clever layering, off-beat accessorizing, and texture/color/decade-jamming are all at your disposal. Click through to check out how these four ladies concocted the toastiest of Perfect Outfits.

Pink Spider—A heavy-duty military parka, a leather satchel, shearling boots, and a cozy scarf...if this were your go-to winter uniform, you'd have no reason to complain about sub-zero temperatures!

If you're dying to wear a thinner coat, layer a thick, draped cardigan underneath for extra insulation as well as a splash of graphic interest.

If you've got a super-thick cardigan, don't think twice about making it your outermost piece. Just pile on the layers underneath—one, two, three sweaters...who's counting! Cutoffs and motorcycle boots add that touch of cheek we love.

Minimalism may be in, but don't let a camel coat take all the fun out of your outfit. A patterned sweater that peeks out (layered on top of a button-up, of course) brings the whimsy to your wintertime game.

Winter Style: Chunky Knits

Here is the collection of winter jackets and sweaters for women according to the new style of 2011.

Chunky Knits

If you haven't already been outside, it's cold! We know it's too freezing to don those shearling booties with the open toes, so the next best thing is to cover up top – stylishly.
They've been around for years, perhaps lurking in the back of your grandma's closet, but knits are back, and in a big way. Pair a chunky knit sweater or cardigan with high waisted pants and you have a super slimming look, as long as your pants aren't the same width as the sweater. Wear a chunky knit with a flared skirt, woolen tights and a blazer and you have a preppy, yet on trend, style for the weekend.
From Prada to Chanel, chunky knits were the look du jour. They're comfortable, super warm and encapsulate a weekend-in-front-of-a-roaring-fire feel, so what's not to love? Just pop on a fedora for the perfect finishing touch.
Here are 5 covetable knits to buy this winter – because there's more than enough winter left to wear them!

Chunky Knits

For a sweater that can be worn as a dress, this Rag and Bone choice is perfect. It's long enough to wear in Autumn with sheer opaques and great to throw over some thicker tights in winter, with stripes adding a great alternative to a solid color.
2. Clare Tough,
For a super luxe, feminine take on the chunky knit, this pastel pink Clare Tough cropped cardigan will take you from work to an evening out.

3. Topshop Cable Knit Sweater,
This cream sweater is the perfect addition to any wardrobe. It can be worn plain with jeans, dressed up with a scarf, under a faux fur vest or with a cute skirt.

4. Zara Short Handmade Sweater,
For a cropped knit with a chunky style that works perfectly with high cropped trousers or high waisted flared skirt, this affordable Zara knit is a great choice.

5. Paul and Joe Knit Cardigan,
For a different take on the knit sweater, try a cardigan! You can belt it over jeans, belt it over a dress or wear it open and casual with flat boots and a fedora hat.
